Containerlab provides a CLI for orchestrating and managing container-based networking labs. It makes deploying multi-vendor network topologies simple and reproducible. Perfect for NetDevOps workflows.
I’ve contributed several features to the project, including the Cisco SD-WAN node kind, C8000v controller mode support, vIOS integration, and the snapshotting feature for lab state management. These additions enable more advanced Cisco-based lab scenarios and improve the overall workflow for network engineers. My contributions to this project focus mainly on Cisco node types and improved functionality for VM based nodes. This includes:
- Added snapshot functionality for vrnetlab nodes
- Support for Cisco SD-WAN controller component nodes
- Support for vIOS and vIOSL2 nodes
